Planned by the Fruita Area Chamber
of Commerce as its major fundraiser, the festival is a free community
event where nearly 170 vendors sell their arts, crafts and foods
to a crowd of 30,000-plus over the 3-day event. The weekend is
filled with events including a youth
pet and talent show, a parade,
the famous bed
race, a baking
and canning contest and Art
in the Park.
The 94th Alpine Bank Fruita Fall
Festival presented by American Family Insurance is once again
pleased to present a free weekend of live music on two stages.
The RE/MAX
4000 Circle Park Stage will feature regional and national
bluegrass bands and the Chesnick
Realty Pavilion Stage will feature an original cowboy gathering.
This theme of the 2008 festival is
Cowboy Up in Fruita!
The festival is the winner of
the prestigious Best of the West award from the Daily Sentinel
in 2001, 2002, 2006 and 2008.
Shuttle
service will be provided by Williams Production from the Dinosaur
Museum, 550 Jurassic Court by Exit 19 and Hwy 340, to the festival
venue.
This year the Alpine Bank Fruita
Fall Festival is a part of the Grand Valley Fall Spectacular!
Other events that weekend include the Grand
Junction Air Show, the Fuoco
Motor Company Grand Junction Car Show and Color Sunday.
